April 2024, South Sulawesi Province Year on Year (YOY) inflation will be 2.61 percent

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in South Sulawesi Province will be 2.61 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.23. The highest inflation occurred in Kab. Sidenreng Rappang was 3.59 percent with a CPI of 103.20 and the lowest occurred in Bulukumba at 2.14 percent with a CPI of 105.14.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.82 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.33 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.47 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.89 percent; health group by 2.15 percent; transportation group by 1.95 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.14 percent; education group by 1.77 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.25 percent; personal care and other services group amounted to 3.04 percent. The information, communication and financial services groups did not experience changes in the index.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for South Sulawesi Province in April 2024 are 0.15 percent and 1.20 percent respectively.
