JANUARY 2024 INFLATION RELEASE

BPS Wajo Regency released inflation figures for January for the first time on Thursday, February 1 2024. The release was carried out live on the BPS Wajo Regency Youtube channel. The inflation figures displayed are the results of the Consumer Price Survey, which was also carried out for the first time by BPS Wajo Regency during January.

Many important things are discussed in this first release. First, the month-to-month inflation figures and year-to-date inflation figures for January 2024 are announced. Then, the expenditure and commodity groups that have a dominant contribution to the inflation figures are discussed. Apart from that, a comparison of month to month inflation was also carried out between 8 CPI cities in South Sulawesi.

The live release will be held at 14.00 WITA. Live streaming was carried out by the IPDS and distribution team as well as the Head of BPS Wajo Regency, Ir. Rustan, M.Si., as speaker. The presentation of inflation figures took approximately 16 minutes and was completed at 14.16
